At Curby’s Creek, our adoption process is personal, transparent, and hands-on. We encourage families to begin by filling out our application. There is NO OBLIGATION, it simply helps you learn more about our program and allows us to better understand your needs. Once we receive your application, we’ll follow up with an email confirmation.

We understand that every family’s desires are unique, and we strive to place each of our puppies in a loving, forever home that’s the perfect fit. Our goal is never to pressure you into adopting from us, but rather to help you find the right puppy for your family.

When you decide to place a deposit on one of our upcoming litters, you officially become part of the Curby’s Creek family! We do our best to keep everyone informed throughout the process, sharing updates about heat cycles, successful breedings, anticipated due dates, pregnancy confirmations or ultrasounds, and, of course, litter announcements.

Instagram is our primary method of sharing frequent updates, but we also stay in touch through email, text, and Instagram Direct Messages.

Once the puppies arrive, we contact families on the waitlist to confirm their pick order. We post frequent photos and videos on Instagram so you can watch the puppies grow and develop. In addition, we host weekly professional photo sessions so families can see how each puppy changes week by week.

We share important information leading up to Selection Day on our Instagram. Within this group, families can review all documents included in their take-home folders, preview care package items, and ask questions freely. This preparation ensures that Homecoming Day is all about celebrating your new puppy!

We’re proud to be THE ONLY BREEDER that provides families with DAILY ACCESS TO THE NURSERY, where you can follow along as the puppies begin their curriculum and reach important developmental milestones (starting around three weeks of age).

When the puppies are approximately five to six weeks old, selections are made in the order deposits were received. Each family receives a one-hour appointment to make their choice. Selected puppies are promptly updated on our website, so everyone can follow along and see who’s still available. Our families affectionately call this “Puppy Draft Day,” and it’s always a fun and exciting experience!

While the adoption process officially concludes when your puppy goes home, our relationship with our families continues long afterward. We are deeply grateful for the friendships and lasting connections that come from being part of such a meaningful moment in your family’s life.
